We’re not your average (boring) social program, we tend to be real.  Which is exactly what our target audience expects… and needs.  Your homeless students are damaged and hurting (often times without even knowing it) and they are hungry for hope – we bring that portion of hope, in a very real manner.

How do we do it? Part of the magic is to not differentiate between “us and them” – there is no “us and them” – we treat “them” like we do “us” – from the moment our Rockstar event starts, “they” are part of “us” – everyone is treated equally – like they are part of the Rockstar Crew, which they are.  The stigma of homelessness is often times more damaging than the actual practicalities of the situation… no stable roof.

We’re in your face. That’s not to say we’re rude, on the contrary, we’re a great, fun-loving group of people – but part of the Rockstar magic is the ability to be fully self-expressed.  We try to extract the participant’s self-expression through photography and innerview – we encourage boldness and truth.

Funding.  We rely on the hosts to provide the sponsorships and funding for this event.  The numbers vary, depending on crew size, travel distance and time, and food, but we’ll make sure everything is budgeted out for you.

It’s not about the money, but when you consider the cost of homelessness to your community per year, we are a drop in the bucket and well worth it.
